Absent corpus callosum, Dysgenesis of the corpus callosum
Is not a life threatening condition
Does increase risk of not meeting several developmental milestones
May not be an isolated finding
Will benefit from additional evaluation
May require NICU admission and delay in discharge
ACC means the connection between the two sides of the brain did not fully form
Many babies do well; outcomes depend on whether other findings are present
Your baby will have extra evaluation after birth and follow-up with a neurologist
